See any in-network provider of your choice – you have many from which to choose – and no referral is necessary.

  • 39 primary care clinics - all Ridgeview Clinics, Catalyst Medical Clinic, Lakeview Clinic, Ltd., OBGYN West, South Lake Pediatrics, Wayzata Children’s Clinics, and Western OB/GYN, A Division of Ridgeview Clinics.
  • 150+ specialty care partnerships – including all Ridgeview Specialty Clinics and top specialists from across the Twin Cities, including: Children’s Hospitals and Specialty Clinics of Minnesota, Twin Cities Orthopedics, Minneapolis Heart Institute®, Virginia Piper Cancer Institute, Minnesota Oncology, Minnesota Oncology & Ridgeview Cancer & Infusion Center, Abbott Northwestern Neuroscience Institute, Kidney Specialists of Minnesota, Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates, Interventional Spine & Pain Physicians, Physicians Diagnostic & Rehabilitation Clinics, Urology Associates and more.

Important to note: All emergency care and urgent care services are considered in network.

If you’re away from home and get sick or hurt, we’ve got you covered. When you travel outside the Medica service area (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and western Wisconsin) you can get network coverage by visiting a provider in the Travel Program Network. This nationwide network is one of the largest in the country. If you have children attending college outside the service area, they can use this network, too.

  • Network Navigators provide one-to-one assistance to help you navigate today’s complex world of health care, including answering questions about the network of providers, programs and services, community services, wellness programs and more.
  • Welcome calls are made to all new members to introduce you to your new plan and we stay connected throughout the year offering quick tips and resources to help you make the best health care choices.
  • Free “Meet and Greet” appointments are available with all in-network primary care providers.
  • Same-day appointments can be scheduled at all primary care clinics and Saturday morning appointment at select clinics.
  • Medication Therapy Management - with a Ridgeview pharmacist - can help you understand why you are taking certain medicines, make sure the medications are working the best they can, avoid drug interactions and side effects (for both prescription and over-the-counter supplements), and address concerns such as cost.
  • One-on-one personalized and group nutrition services with a registered dietician can help you learn about healthy food choices, reading labels at the supermarket, special diets for hypertension and other chronic conditions and more.
  • Free local home delivery of prescriptions from partner pharmacies saves you time.
  • 24/7 nurse line and Ridgeview eCare make it easy to receive health information and online diagnosis, treatment or even a prescription if you need one.
  • Online tools allow you to access online records, complete a comprehensive health assessment, receive personalized wellness recommendations, and find information about health events and classes, links to local resources, an extensive library of health information and more at health.ridgeviewmedical.org.
  • CareWire text messaging services allows clinics to remind you of scheduled appointments and provide general information.

How it Works

Ridgeview Community Network is an accountable care organization (ACO). In an ACO, groups of doctors, nurses and other health care providers work together with your health plan to provide coordinated care. You don’t need a referral when you see a provider in the Ridgeview Community Network.

Sample Certificate of Coverage

You can view a sample 2017 coverage document (called a Certificate of Coverage), which shows examples of what a Ridgeview Community Network plan may cover for fully insured members. To view this sample, choose the state your employer is based in, then choose “Small groups” if your company has 50 or fewer employees, or “Large groups” if your employer has 51 or more employees.

One of the unique features of an ACO plan is how Medica works with your provider to coordinate your health care. By sharing member information with each other, Medica and your ACO can help you get the care you need and deliver programs and services to help you get and stay healthy.
